    About Us

We are a growing mental health practice in Midlothian Texas. Our passion is in helping others heal and thrive. We value learning and knowledge and continue to advance our skills in order to be the best version of ourselves to assist our community. Our therapists have various certifications, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy, EMDR, Relapse Prevention, AutPlay, and many others.

We also have student interns who offer a reduced rate for mental health services. These students are at the “official” beginning of their careers as therapists. They have been learning all the skills and techniques to begin counseling. They will be supervised by both the college/university and also directly by Amy Barton, LPC-S.

    Kelsey Pecsek

I am a clinical mental health counseling student at Tarleton State University. My approach to counseling is to provide a safe environment for you to discuss your experiences, feelings, and concerns in a non-judgmental space. I believe people find fulfillment by living as their authentic selves while exploring freedom, responsibility, connection, purpose, and meaning. My goal as a counselor is to be your guide during this process, helping facilitate a deeper level of self-discovery and self-awareness.

    About Us

    Amy Barton  LPC-S

I have worked with children and adolescents most of my career; as a teacher, a school counselor and then as a licensed professional counselor. I also enjoy working with adults. I am a certified Aut-Play therapist, working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. I am also a certified Relapse Prevention Navigator, child and adolescent trauma professional and master Accelerated Resolution Therapist.

    Alex Shauger LCSW

My typical clients want to learn how to process their emotions, communicate effectively, and overcome barriers to success. I work with my clients to identify a set of goals and utilize a variety of theories and approaches to really tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. Please contact me to schedule today!

My primary areas of focus are relationship conflict and domestic violence in young adults, specializing in cases with court involvement. My clients are from all walks of life and could be struggling with mental health issues, such as borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorder. I take a strengths based and solution focused approach while incorporating CBT and DBT skills into interventions.

    We're here for you.

    Gabriela Padilla  LPC

My passion is working with those who have been through trauma to help them heal. I love to help those who are feeling stuck get unstuck and able to move forward with life. As an EMDR trained counselor, I approach therapy with a client’s centered trauma approach.  I see children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I look forward to hearing from you!
